A massive comhghairdeas to our Greencastle handball boys team who claimed the National division 2 Féile title.
The Greencastle boys team of Seónag Harte, Marcus Conway, Tarlach Tracey & Shane Molloy claimed the national division 2 Féile title beating Kilkishen of county Clare in the final on a score of 30-27. The lads deserve great credit for this victory after coming through a tough group with great results against Breacach, Castlebridge & Liscaul to deservedly bring the title home!
Greencastle also had another 3 teams represented at the weekend in Connaught venues.
Division 1 girls Maryjo Morris, Emma Conway, Aimee & Emma Fox reached the division 1 final but lost narrowly by just 3 points to Windgap of Kilkenny unfortunately it was not to be.
Division 3 girls Kaylagh Bradley, Caoimhe Maguire, Mya Molloy & and Anna Mae McElduff progressed through their group to the semi finals where they lost to eventual winners St Brigids of Dublin.
Division 4 boys Conor Molloy, Caolan Meenan, Michael McElduff & Anthony Morris came runners up in their group to finalists Ballydesmond.
This is the 3rd year in succession Greencastle have brought home another major Féile title with adding to the boys division 4 title in 2022 & girls division 1 title in 2023.
We are delighted to be able to enter 4 teams for the Féile, showing just how far Greencastle handball has come over the last number of years.
Maith sibh gach duine!
